Likely condition: si + présent → futur (« Si tu expliques bien, il acceptera »). Hypothetical/unreal condition: si + imparfait → conditionnel (« Si j'avais le temps, je voyagerais »). For advice, use « à ta place, je… » + conditional, or « tu devrais » + infinitive.
