D'accord. Je me permets de vous contacter au sujet de la commande qui n'est pas arrivée. 🔊All right. I am taking the liberty of contacting you regarding the order that has not arrived.
Parfait. Demande une réponse dans les meilleurs délais et termine par « Cordialement ». 🔊Perfect. Ask for a reply as soon as possible and end with 'Kind regards'.
Merci. Je joins aussi la facture en pièce jointe. 🔊Thanks. I'm also attaching the invoice.
Grammar in focus · le registre formel

Formal emails use « vous », fixed openings (« Madame, Monsieur ») and closings (« Cordialement », « Je vous prie d'agréer… »). Soften requests with « je me permets de » + infinitive and « pourriez-vous » + infinitive. Keep sentences clear and avoid slang.

Write it yourself

Write a short formal email (5–6 sentences) to a supplier whose delivery is late: greeting, the problem, a request, and a closing.

Tip for this task
Bien ! Keep « vous » throughout and stay polite even when complaining: « Je vous serais reconnaissant(e) de bien vouloir… ». End with « Cordialement ».
