Grammar in focus · pronoms relatifs (qui, que, où, dont)

« qui » is the subject (« les sites qui sont fiables »); « que » is the object (« les sites que je connais »); « où » means where/when (« le jour où… »); « dont » replaces « de + noun » (« l'actualité dont on parle » = that people talk about). These pronouns let you build richer, connected sentences.
