Concessive conjunctions like « bien que » and « quoique » are always followed by the subjunctive: « bien que ce soit vrai », « quoiqu'il fasse froid ». To concede then rebut, pair « certes… mais » or « il n'en reste pas moins que » + indicative.
Write a short argumentative paragraph (5–6 sentences) defending a position, conceding one counter-point with « certes… mais » and using « bien que » + subjunctive.
