B2 fluency relies on rich linking: « quoique » + subjunctive (concession), « force est de constater que » + indicative (acknowledgement), « cela étant » (qualification), « en fin de compte » and « dans l'ensemble » (summing up). Vary them rather than repeating « mais » and « donc ».
Write a 6-sentence discussion linking two topics (e.g. tech and environment), using « quoique » + subjunctive, « cela étant » and « en fin de compte ».
