Travel information uses key nouns: die Abfahrt (departure), die Ankunft (arrival), das Gleis (platform), der Anschluss (connection). To talk about a delay: « Der Zug hat (zehn Minuten) Verspätung » — Verspätung haben, not 'be late'. Information questions start with a question word and the verb comes second: « Von welchem Gleis fährt der Zug? » Note « welchem » is dative after « von ». With the perfect: « Ich habe den Platz gebucht » (buchen is a haben verb).
Write 3 sentences about a delayed journey: mention the platform, the delay and your connection.
