« es gibt » means 'there is / there are' and is followed by the ACCUSATIVE case: « Es gibt einen Balkon » (der Balkon → einen), « Es gibt eine Küche » (feminine stays eine), « Es gibt ein Schlafzimmer » (neuter stays ein). It is always « es gibt » whether singular or plural: « Es gibt drei Zimmer. » To locate things, use prepositions with the dative: « Der Tisch steht am Fenster », « Der Balkon ist hinter der Küche. » Remember rooms and furniture have genders, so learn the article with each noun.
Describe your home in 3-4 sentences: which rooms there are and one piece of furniture you like.
