German has a true future tense with « werden » + an infinitive at the end: ich werde, du wirst, er/sie wird, wir werden, ihr werdet, sie werden. « Ich werde nach Berlin umziehen. » Just as often, though, Germans use the PRESENT tense plus a time word for plans that are fixed: « Nächste Woche besuche ich die Stadt » (= I'm visiting next week). To express intentions there is the separable verb « vorhaben » (to plan): « Was hast du am Wochenende vor? » Useful time markers: morgen (tomorrow), nächste Woche (next week), nächstes Jahr (next year), bald (soon).
Write 3 sentences about your plans for next year, using werden at least once.
