Weather usually starts with the impersonal « Es ist … » plus an adjective: « Es ist sonnig / kalt / warm / windig. » For things that fall or appear, use « Es gibt … » or a verb: « Es gibt Regen », « Es regnet », « Es schneit » (it's snowing). The four seasons are all masculine: der Frühling (spring), der Sommer (summer), der Herbst (autumn), der Winter (winter). Use « im » for 'in' a season or month: im Sommer, im August. You can combine weather with future plans: « Hoffentlich wird es warm » (werden + es).
