Formal emails open with 'Sehr geehrte Frau Müller,' / 'Sehr geehrter Herr Klein,' and close with 'Mit freundlichen Grüßen'. The Vorgangspassiv reports a process without naming who does it: 'Die Besprechung muss verschoben werden' (werden + past participle). Polite requests use Konjunktiv II: 'Könnten Sie mir bitte Bescheid geben?' and 'Ich würde mich über eine kurze Rückmeldung freuen.'
Write a formal email (5-6 sentences) to a colleague asking to postpone a meeting and proposing a new time. Use a proper greeting and sign-off.
