'sollte' (Konjunktiv II of 'sollen') gives recommendations: 'Du solltest mehr Wasser trinken.' 'müssen' expresses real obligation/necessity: 'Ich muss morgen früh aufstehen.' The impersonal pronoun 'man' generalises advice to everyone: 'Man sollte nicht zu spät essen.' For importance, use 'Es ist wichtig, dass …' with a verb-final clause: 'Es ist wichtig, dass man sich genug bewegt.'
