sodass (or so … dass) introduces a result clause; it is subordinating, so the verb goes to the end: « Die Methode wurde lange getestet, sodass die Risiken bekannt sind. » deshalb, deswegen and daher are consequential adverbs in a main clause, with the verb in position two: « Die Risiken sind hoch, deshalb braucht man Studien. » Use sodass for a fluid result inside one sentence and deshalb to start a new statement of consequence.
