Grammar in focus · the weather

Italian describes weather with fare: fa caldo, fa freddo, fa bel tempo, fa brutto tempo. With phenomena use single verbs: piove (it rains), nevica (it snows), tira vento (it's windy), or c'è: c'è il sole, c'è nebbia, ci sono nuvole. Seasons take in: in estate, in inverno, in primavera, in autunno (or d'estate, d'inverno).
