« Secondo me » and « a mio avviso » take the indicative: « Secondo me è vero ». But « penso che », « credo che » and « ritengo che » trigger the congiuntivo: « Penso che sia vero », « Credo che dipenda ». Justify with perché (most common), poiché and dato che, which add a more formal, reasoned tone: « Poiché ognuno ha esigenze diverse… ».
