Agree: « Sono d'accordo », « Hai ragione », « Anch'io la penso così ». Disagree softly: « Non sono d'accordo », « Non sono del tutto convinto ». Contrast markers differ in register: però (neutral, conversational), invece (signals a switch: « Io invece… »), tuttavia (formal, like 'nevertheless'). Place invece after the subject or at the start: « Invece io penso… » / « Io invece penso… ».
