Real (likely) condition — se + presente indicativo → futuro or presente: « Se faccio domanda adesso, partirò a settembre ». Unreal (hypothetical) — se + congiuntivo imperfetto → condizionale presente: « Se avessi tempo, viaggerei », « Se fossi ricco, comprerei una casa al mare ». Key forms: avere → avessi, essere → fossi, fare → facessi. Give advice with « Se fossi in te, + condizionale ».
