Impersonal expressions of necessity and importance trigger the congiuntivo presente: « È importante che tu ti riposi », « Bisogna che lei spenga il telefono ». Useful forms: essere → sia, fare → faccia, andare → vada, ridurre → riduca. To soften, use easier structures with the infinitive: « Ti consiglio di + infinito », « Dovresti + infinito » (« Dovresti dormire di più »).
A friend is exhausted from overwork. Write 4–5 sentences of advice using ti consiglio di and one è importante che.
