A potem? 🔊And then?
Potem spotkałem przyjaciół w kawiarni na rynku. 🔊Then I met friends at a café on the main square.
Brzmi świetnie! Ja zostałam w domu. 🔊Sounds great! I stayed at home.
Grammar in focus · past motion verbs

'Iść' (to go) is irregular in the past: a man says 'poszedłem', a woman 'poszłam'. Connect events with 'najpierw' (first), 'potem' (then), 'w końcu' (finally): « Najpierw zwiedziłam muzeum, potem spotkałam koleżankę. » Note the feminine -łam vs masculine -łem ending stays consistent across the story.

Write it yourself

Write three sentences narrating your last weekend, using 'potem'.

Tip for this task
Super! Linking words make a story flow. Try: « W niedzielę poszedłem na spacer, potem zwiedziłem zamek. »
