Grammar in focus · expressing opinion and cause

Open an opinion with « Myślę, że… », « Uważam, że… », « Moim zdaniem… » or « Według mnie… ». Note that « moim zdaniem » and « według mnie » are followed directly by a clause without « że »: « Moim zdaniem to dobry pomysł. » After « myślę / uważam » you need « że »: « Myślę, że to dobry pomysł. » Justify with « ponieważ » (more formal) or « bo » (more colloquial), both meaning 'because': « Lubię to miasto, bo jest spokojne / ponieważ jest spokojne. » Structure a balanced argument with « z jednej strony… z drugiej strony… ».
