Grammar in focus · agreement, contrast and concession

Agree with « Zgadzam się (z tobą) », « Masz rację », « Dokładnie ». Soften with « Częściowo się zgadzam ». Disagree politely with « Nie zgadzam się » or « Nie do końca się zgadzam ». For contrast, « jednak » (however) and « ale » sit inside the sentence, while « natomiast » contrasts two parallel ideas: « On lubi herbatę, natomiast ja wolę kawę. » To concede a point you still argue against, use « mimo to » (even so): « Jest drogo, mimo to warto. » Note « zgadzać się » takes « z » + instrumental: « Zgadzam się z tobą / z Anną. »
