Polish reported speech is simpler than English — there is no tense backshift. Keep the original tense and just introduce it: « Powiedział: 'Jestem zmęczony' » → « Powiedział, że jest zmęczony. » Report a yes/no question with « czy » (whether/if): « Zapytała: 'Masz czas?' » → « Zapytała, czy mam czas. » For wh-questions, keep the question word: « Zapytał: 'Gdzie mieszkasz?' » → « Zapytał, gdzie mieszkam. » Useful reporting verbs: powiedział/powiedziała, stwierdził, dodał, obiecał, wspomniał, zapytał/zapytała. Pronouns shift logically (ty → ja) just as in English. Always put a comma before że / czy / the question word.
Someone told you their weekend plans and asked you two questions. Report it in 4–5 sentences (statements + one czy question).
