Grammar in focus · udzielanie rad (tactful advice with the conditional)

Soften advice with conditional structures. na (czyimś) miejscu + conditional: « Na twoim miejscu zrobiłbym/zrobiłabym to inaczej. » (If I were you, I'd…). radziłbym/radziłabym, żebyś + past-form verb (different subject!): « Radziłabym, żebyś odpoczęła. » Note żebyś takes the -ł form: żebyś poszła, żebyś porozmawiał. Gentle suggestions: « Może spróbowałbyś…? », « Warto byłoby… », « Nie zaszkodziłoby… ». These keep advice non-imperative and polite — much softer than « Zrób to ».

Write 4–5 sentences of advice to an overworked friend, using na twoim miejscu + conditional and radziłbym/radziłabym, żebyś + past form.
