The pretérito indefinido describes finished actions in the past, usually with markers like ayer, anoche or el fin de semana pasado. Regular -ar verbs: hablé, hablaste, habló, hablamos, hablasteis, hablaron. Regular -er/-ir verbs share endings: comí, comiste, comió, comimos, comisteis, comieron. Watch the accents on the yo and él/ella forms: visité, comió. The verb ir is irregular and identical to ser: fui, fuiste, fue, fuimos, fuisteis, fueron — 'Fui a Sevilla.'
Write 3 sentences narrating a past trip (where you went, what you saw, what you ate).
An adaptive quiz confirms you've got it and schedules the right words for review.
