A2 means choosing the right tense for the moment. Finished, dated past → pretérito indefinido: 'El año pasado me mudé.' Recent past linked to now → pretérito perfecto: 'Has cambiado mucho.' Current habits and facts → present: 'Ahora trabajo en Madrid.' Plans and intentions → ir a + infinitive or futuro: 'El año que viene voy a empezar un máster.' Time markers are your signposts: ayer / el año pasado (indefinido), hoy / esta semana / ya (perfecto), ahora (present), mañana / el año que viene (future).
