Spanish has two main passives. The periphrastic passive uses « ser + participio », agreeing in gender/number: « Los tratados fueron firmados ». It is more formal and often avoided in speech. The pasiva refleja uses « se + verb » in third person, agreeing with the patient: « Se firmaron los tratados », « Se necesitan reformas ». For recommendations, combine with the conditional: « Se debería reducir el consumo ». Use the pasiva refleja when the agent is unknown or irrelevant — it sounds far more natural than the « ser » passive in everyday B2 Spanish.
Write 4–5 sentences proposing climate measures, using the pasiva refleja (« se debería… », « se necesita… ») at least twice.
