WOV Privacy Policy

WOV — Words of Vidaara is a free, offline-first word game by Vidaara (Udgam Welfare Foundation). We built it privacy-first: no account needed, and we never sell your data. To keep the game free we show ads (Google AdMob); you can remove them with a one-time in-app purchase.

What we store

• 🆔 An anonymous sync code (a random ID the app creates) — so you can back up and restore your progress. It is not linked to your name, email or phone.
• 🎮 Your game progress (levels, coins, streaks) when you turn on cloud backup.
• 🏷️ An optional nickname and score, only if you choose to appear on the leaderboard or join a club. No real name is required.
• 🎂 An age band (not a date of birth) to decide whether parental approval is needed.

What we do NOT collect

No name, email, phone number, precise location, contacts or photos. There is no chat or messaging between players.

Ads

To keep WOV free, we show ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use a device advertising identifier to show and measure ads; it is a third party that handles that data under Google's Privacy Policy. Where required we ask for your consent first, and you can switch ads off permanently with the in-app Remove Ads purchase.

Children

The game works fully offline with no data sent. The optional leaderboard/clubs require parental approval for younger players, and reported nicknames are moderated and hidden.

Delete your data

You can erase all your cloud data anytime at vidaara.org/wov/delete-data (or in the app: Settings → Delete my data), or email contact@vidaara.org.
