📋 About the exam
SSC CGL is the gateway to thousands of Group B and Group C posts across central government ministries — Income Tax Inspector, Assistant Section Officer, Auditor, and many more — and it draws lakhs of graduate applicants every cycle. Selection runs through two computer-based stages. Tier 1 is a 60-minute screening test of four equally-weighted sections — Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English — where speed and accuracy under the clock matter as much as knowledge. Tier 2 (Paper-1) is the decisive mains stage with longer, slightly tougher sections and stiffer negative marking. Quant rewards fast arithmetic, algebra, geometry and data interpretation; General Awareness leans heavily on static GK and science; English tests grammar, vocabulary and comprehension. With negative marking at both stages, disciplined attempting beats guesswork. These mocks reproduce both tiers to the real pattern, each question with a full explanation.

⚡ Quick facts
🎯 Smart strategy
- Tier 1 is a speed game — 100 questions in 60 minutes means ~36 seconds each; build sectional time discipline.
- Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning are the highest-scoring, most learnable sections — master shortcuts.
- General Awareness is static-GK heavy (history, polity, geography, science) — quick recall, no calculation.
- With −0.50 (Tier 1) and −1 (Tier 2) negatives, skip a question unless you can eliminate at least two options.
