Open Content License

Our educational content is free to use, share and adapt. Here's the licence, in plain terms.

Last updated: 30 May 2026

The licence

Except where otherwise noted, Vidaara's original educational content is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) licence. This reflects our belief that knowledge should be shared, not locked up.

What you can do

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt — remix, transform and build upon it (translate a lesson, make a worksheet, reformat for your class).

Teachers, NGOs and community educators are warmly encouraged to use Vidaara content in their classrooms and programmes.

Under these conditions

  • Attribution — credit "Vidaara (Udgam Welfare Foundation)" and link back to vidaara.org, indicating if you made changes.
  • NonCommercial — you may not use the material for commercial purposes. (Want to? Talk to us — we're a nonprofit and open to mission-aligned uses.)
  • ShareAlike — if you remix or build upon the material, distribute your contributions under the same licence.

What this licence does not cover

It does not cover the Vidaara name, logo or trademarks (see our Copyright Notice), nor any third-party content that remains the property of its owners. Where a specific page or asset carries a different licence, that notice takes precedence.

In short: take our lessons, translate them, print them, build on them — and pass that freedom on. Just credit us, keep it non-commercial, and share alike.
