Terms & Conditions

The agreement between you and Vidaara. We've kept it as readable as terms can reasonably be.

Last updated: 30 May 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Vidaara (the "Service"), operated by the Udgam Welfare Foundation, you agree to these Terms. If you are under 18, you may use Vidaara only with the involvement of a parent, guardian or teacher; if you are under 13, a parent or guardian must provide consent as described in our Children's Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with these Terms, please don't use the Service.

2. The service

Vidaara provides free educational content and tools. It is and will remain free to use for learners — there is no fee and no paid tier. We may add, change or remove features over time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free; see our status page for current uptime.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information when you register, and let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You may close your account at any time from your settings or by requesting deletion.

4. Acceptable use

To keep Vidaara safe and useful, you agree not to:

  • Break the law or infringe others' rights while using the Service;
  • Harass, bully, threaten or abuse others, including in the forum;
  • Post spam, malware, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
  • Scrape, resell or commercially exploit the Service in ways our content licence does not permit;
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these rules.

5. Content you post

You keep ownership of content you post (such as forum questions and answers). By posting, you grant Vidaara a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display that content as part of the Service. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share, and don't post anything unlawful or harmful. We may remove content that breaks these Terms and we moderate community spaces to keep them safe for learners.

6. Our content and intellectual property

Vidaara's original educational content is, unless stated otherwise, made available for free under an open licence — see our Open Content License and Copyright Notice. The Vidaara name and logo are trademarks of the Udgam Welfare Foundation and may not be used without permission. Some third-party materials remain the property of their owners and are used with permission or under their own licences.

7. Disclaimers

Vidaara is provided "as is" and "as available". While we work hard on accuracy, educational content is for learning purposes and is not professional advice. We don't warrant that the Service will meet every requirement or that content is free of errors. Report any error and we'll review it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Udgam Welfare Foundation and its volunteers will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of a free service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

9. Changes, termination & governing law

We may update these Terms; we'll post the new date above and, for material changes, give reasonable notice. You may stop using Vidaara at any time, and we may suspend the Service or your access where necessary (for example, for serious or repeated violations). These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Udgam Welfare Foundation's place of registration, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections in your own country. Questions?
