General
Is Vidaara really free?
Yes — completely, and permanently. Vidaara is run by a nonprofit, the Udgam Welfare Foundation, serving education since 2012. There is no premium tier, no trial that expires, and no credit card required. It's free by design — we never charge learners.
Do you show ads?
Never. We don't run advertising of any kind, and we especially don't advertise to children. Vidaara is a nonprofit by the Udgam Welfare Foundation — we don't sell your data and we'll never put ads in front of a student.
What ages and grades is Vidaara for?
Our core curriculum spans kindergarten (K1) through Grade 12 across math, science, reading, computing and more. Plenty of adult learners use Vidaara too — to refresh a topic or pick up something new.
Do I need to create an account?
No — you can watch lessons and try practice without one. An account simply saves your progress, streaks and bookmarks across devices.
For students
How do I track what I've learned?
Your Progress Tracker shows skills mastered, milestones and completion for every course. Keep a daily streak going and you'll see it on your dashboard.
Can I get a certificate?
Yes. Finish a course and you can download a completion certificate from your Certificates & Achievements page, along with any badges you've earned.
I'm stuck on a problem. What can I do?
Try the AI Tutor for a hint, rewatch the lesson (the transcript helps), or ask the community in the discussion forum.
For parents
My child is under 13 — can they use Vidaara?
Yes, with your consent. As required by COPPA, children under 13 need a parent or guardian to approve their account. See our Parent Consent page and Children's Privacy Policy.
How do I keep an eye on my child's learning?
The Parent Dashboard lets you see what your child is studying, their progress and time spent, without being intrusive.
What data do you collect about my child?
As little as possible. We don't sell it, don't advertise to it, and you can review or delete it at any time. The full details are in our Children's Privacy Policy.
For teachers
Is Vidaara free for my whole class?
Yes, for every student and every teacher. Create a class, add students, and assign lessons from the For Teachers hub — no licences, no per-seat fees.
Can I see how my students are doing?
Yes — the Student Reports page shows performance, time-on-task and skill gaps, so you can spot who needs help and where.
Are the materials standards-aligned?
Our Classroom Resources include alignments and lesson plans you can drop straight into your teaching.
Privacy & safety
Do you sell my data?
No. We never sell personal data, and we never share children's data for advertising. Read the Privacy Policy for specifics.
How do I delete my account and data?
Submit a request on our Data Deletion page. We honour the right to erasure under GDPR and similar laws.
