Find the work done in assembling three charges $q$ each at the vertices of an equilateral triangle of side $a$.

There are 3 pairs, each with separation $a$:

$$U = 3 \times \frac{kq^2}{a} = \frac{3kq^2}{a} = \frac{3q^2}{4\pi\epsilon_0 a}$$
