In a Wheatstone bridge, $P = 10\ \Omega$, $Q = 30\ \Omega$, $R = 15\ \Omega$. Find the value of $S$ for balance.

At balance: $\dfrac{P}{Q} = \dfrac{R}{S}$

$$S = \frac{QR}{P} = \frac{30 \times 15}{10} = 45\ \Omega$$
