What government scholarships are available for class 11 and 12 students in India?

I am from a middle-class family and my parents cannot afford costly coaching classes. Are there government schemes that can help with education expenses? I have good grades (above 90% in class 10).

Several scholarships are available. NTSE (National Talent Search Examination): For class 10, provides Rs 1,250/month for class 11-12 and more for higher education. Apply through your state board. KVPY (now discontinued, replaced by INSPIRE): For science stream, Rs 5,000-7,000/month. PM YASASVI: For OBC/EWS/DNT students, covers tuition and maintenance. NSP (National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in): Lists all central and state scholarships — apply here. Private options: Tata Trusts, Reliance Foundation, Sitaram Jindal Foundation. With 90%+ in class 10, you likely qualify for merit-based state scholarships too. Check your state government education department website.
