What is the difference between sin, cos, and tan? I always get confused.
I am in class 10 preparing for board exams. I know these are ratios in a right triangle but I keep mixing them up in problems. Is there a trick to remember which is which?

Use SOH-CAH-TOA: Sin = Opposite/Hypotenuse, Cos = Adjacent/Hypotenuse, Tan = Opposite/Adjacent. Remember: the hypotenuse is always the longest side opposite the right angle. For the angle you are working with, opposite is the side across from it, adjacent is the side next to it. Practice by drawing the right triangle and labeling all three sides for each angle.
