Question
The domain of the function defined by $f(x) = {\sin ^{ - 1}}\sqrt {x - 1}$ is
- (a) [1,2] ✓ Correct
- (b) [-1,1]
- (c) [0,1]
- (d) None of these
The domain of the function defined by $f(x) = {\sin ^{ - 1}}\sqrt {x - 1}$ is
$\Rightarrow$ $0 \le x - 1 \le 1$
and $- 1 \le \sqrt {x - 1} \le 1]$
$\Rightarrow$ $1 \le x \le 2$
$therefore, x \in [1,2]$
