Question
Find the sum of the vectors
$\vec a = \hat i - 2\hat j + \hat k,\vec b = - 2\hat i + 4\hat j + 5\hat k$ and $\vec c = \hat i - 6\hat j - 7\hat k$.
Find the sum of the vectors
$\vec a = \hat i - 2\hat j + \hat k,\vec b = - 2\hat i + 4\hat j + 5\hat k$ and $\vec c = \hat i - 6\hat j - 7\hat k$.
Sum of the vectors $= \vec a + \vec b + \vec c$
$= (\hat i - 2\hat j + \hat k) + ( - 2\hat i + 4\hat j + 5\hat k) + (\hat i - 6\hat j - 7\hat k)$
$= 0\hat i - 4\hat j - \hat k = - 4\hat j - \hat k$
