Hi! I'm Vidi. Let's explore Our Body & Senses together — wonder, read, then play the games to win a ⭐!

🌱Parts of Our Body

💭
Vidi wonders: Your body can run, hold, see and think — all at once! How many body parts can you name?

Our body is made of many parts, and each one has a job:

  • 🧠 Head — holds our brain, which helps us think.
  • Hands — to hold, write and play.
  • 🦵 Legs — to walk, run and jump.
  • 🦶 Feet — we stand and balance on them.

Inside, our body has a heart that beats and lungs that help us breathe.

🤔 Vidi's Wonder Questions

What does the brain do?

The brain inside your head is the boss of your body! It helps you think, remember, learn and tells all your other parts what to do.

Why can I bend my arms and legs?

Your body has special bending places called joints — like your elbow and knee. They work like hinges so you can bend, run and play.

🤖 Vidi's Key Points

  • Our body has many parts, each with a job.
  • Head thinks, hands hold, legs walk, feet help us stand.
  • Inside, the heart beats and lungs help us breathe.

🐝Our Five Senses

💭
Vidi wonders: Close your eyes. You can still hear, smell and touch. How does your body do that?

We learn about the world using our five senses. Each sense uses a special body part called a sense organ:

  • 👁️ Eyes — to see.
  • 👂 Ears — to hear.
  • 👃 Nose — to smell.
  • 👅 Tongue — to taste.
  • Skin — to touch and feel.

🤔 Vidi's Wonder Questions

How do I taste different flavours?

Your tongue has tiny taste buds that tell you if food is sweet, salty, sour or bitter. That is how an orange tastes different from a lemon!

What does our skin sense?

Your skin can feel if something is hot or cold, soft or hard, smooth or rough. It even warns you to pull away from something too hot!

🤖 Vidi's Key Points

  • We have five senses: see, hear, smell, taste, touch.
  • Sense organs: eyes, ears, nose, tongue, skin.
  • Each sense organ has its own special job.

☀️Using Our Senses

💭
Vidi wonders: How do you know an ice cream is cold, sweet and smells nice — all before your first lick?

We use our senses together all day long, often without even thinking:

  • 👁️ We see the colours of a rainbow.
  • 👂 We hear music and a friend's voice.
  • 👃 We smell tasty food and flowers.
  • 👅 We taste sweet, sour and salty food.
  • ✋ We feel a soft cat and warm sunshine.

Our senses also keep us safe — they warn us of fire, bad smells and loud dangers.

🤔 Vidi's Wonder Questions

How do senses keep me safe?

Your nose smells smoke to warn of fire, your ears hear a horn so you move away, and your skin feels something too hot. Senses protect you!

Do we use more than one sense at a time?

Yes! When you eat a mango, you see it, smell it, feel it and taste it all together. Your senses are a wonderful team.

🤖 Vidi's Key Points

  • We use our senses together all day.
  • Senses let us enjoy colours, sounds, smells and tastes.
  • Senses also keep us safe from danger.

💧Keeping Our Body Clean

💭
Vidi wonders: Tiny germs we cannot even see can make us ill. How do we keep them away?

Keeping clean keeps tiny germs away and keeps us healthy:

  • 🧼 Wash hands with soap before eating and after the toilet.
  • 🚿 Take a bath every day.
  • 🪥 Brush teeth twice a day, morning and night.
  • ✂️ Keep nails short and clean.

🤔 Vidi's Wonder Questions

Why must I wash my hands before eating?

Our hands touch many things and pick up tiny germs we cannot see. Washing with soap removes the germs so they do not go into our tummy and make us ill.

Why brush teeth twice a day?

Brushing removes bits of food and germs that can cause holes (cavities) in our teeth. Morning and night brushing keeps our teeth strong and our smile bright!

🤖 Vidi's Key Points

  • Keeping clean keeps germs away.
  • Wash hands with soap, bathe daily, brush twice a day.
  • Keep nails short and clean.

🍃Healthy Habits

💭
Vidi wonders: What helps your body grow strong — sweets and screens, or fruits and play?

Good habits help our body grow healthy and strong:

  • 🥗 Eat healthy food — fruits, vegetables, milk and grains.
  • 💧 Drink plenty of water.
  • 🏃 Play and exercise every day.
  • 😴 Get enough sleep at night.
  • 🍬 Eat sweets and watch screens only a little.
🥗Eat well🏃Play😴SleepHealthy habits

🤔 Vidi's Wonder Questions

Why is sleep important?

While you sleep, your body rests, grows and gets ready for the next day. Good sleep helps you feel happy, learn well and stay healthy.

Are sweets bad for me?

A few sweets are okay as a treat, but too many can harm your teeth and tummy. Fruits are nature's sweet treat — and they are good for you!

🤖 Vidi's Key Points

  • Eat healthy food and drink lots of water.
  • Play, exercise and sleep well every day.
  • Have sweets and screens only a little.

🧪 Try it at Home!

Play the Mystery Senses game — explore the world without looking! 🙈

🧺 You will need

  • A cloth bag or a box you cannot see into
  • 3–4 safe everyday objects (a spoon, a ball, a soft toy, an orange)
  • A grown-up helper

👣 Steps

  1. Ask a grown-up to put one object in the bag without you seeing.
  2. Reach in and TOUCH it — what does it feel like? Hard, soft, round?
  3. Guess what it is using only your sense of touch.
  4. Take it out and SEE if you were right!
  5. Try smelling an orange, then tasting a piece — which senses did you use?
👀 Watch for: You will be amazed how much you can tell by touch and smell alone! Your senses work as a clever team to understand the world.
🛡️ Grown-up helper: Only use clean, safe objects a grown-up has checked. Never taste anything unless a grown-up says it is safe to eat.
