Let $y = \sin (ax + b)$
$\Rightarrow$ $\cfrac{{dy}}{{dx}} = \cfrac{d}{{dx}}\sin (ax + b) = \cos (ax + b)\cfrac{d}{{dx}}(ax + b)$
$= \cos (ax + b)(a + 0) = a\cos (ax + b)$
therefore $\frac{dy}{dx}=a\cos (ax + b)$
