The Internet is a worldwide network of connected computers. We use it to search for information, learn, watch videos, play games, send messages and shop.
Key words to know:

2Email and its parts
Email (electronic mail) sends messages over the Internet. A message has these parts:

| Cc (Carbon copy) | Others who should also get a copy (everyone sees these) |
| Bcc (Blind carbon copy) | Others who get a copy secretly (hidden from the rest) |
| Subject | A short line saying what the email is about |
| Attachment | A file (photo, document) sent with the email |
You can compose (write) a new email, send it, and reply to one you receive. An email address looks like name@domain.com.
- Email parts: To (main recipient), Cc (copy, visible), Bcc (copy, hidden), Subject (what it's about), Attachment (a file).
- Cc copies are seen by everyone; Bcc copies are hidden from the others.

3Internet safety
The Internet is useful but you must use it safely:
- Guard your profile — don't share your full name, address, school or phone with strangers online.
- Don't talk to strangers or meet someone you only know online.
- Use strong passwords and never share them or OTPs.
- Don't click suspicious links or open unknown attachments.
- Tell a trusted adult if anything online makes you uncomfortable.

Draft (on paper or in an email app) a formal email that:
- Has a clear Subject line, e.g. 'Invitation to Class 6 Science Fair'.
- Is addressed To your teacher, with a friend in Cc.
- Has a short, polite message and one Attachment (a file).
- List two Internet-safety rules you would follow online.
