2Animations & transitions
Two kinds of movement bring slides to life — don't mix them up:

Three kinds of object animation
- Entrance — how an object appears (fly in, fade in).
- Emphasis — draws attention while it's there (grow, spin).
- Exit — how an object leaves (fly out, fade out).
- An animation moves an OBJECT on a slide; a transition is the effect BETWEEN two slides.
- Object animations: Entrance (appears), Emphasis (draws attention), Exit (leaves).
- Use transitions sparingly so they don't distract from the content.
3Automating the show
You can make a slide show run by itself — handy for a display at a science fair or reception:
- Rehearse Timings — records how long you spend on each slide, so the show advances automatically at the same pace.
- Loop continuously — set the show to start again from the first slide after the last, running endlessly.
