Pronoun & Connector Clues
Pronouns (he, she, it, they, this) must come AFTER the noun they refer to. Connectors set the relationship: however (contrast), therefore (result), also (addition), for example (illustration).
Pronouns point backward; connectors set the link
A sentence with an unexplained pronoun cannot be first — it must follow the sentence that names that person/thing. Connectors tell you how a sentence relates to the one before it.
