Cloze Test • Topic 2 of 4
Grammar Gaps
Some blanks need the grammatically correct form — the right tense, article, preposition, or part of speech. Use the rest of the sentence to decide.
The sentence dictates the form
| Clue | Blank takes |
|---|---|
| since 2010 / for an hour | has/have (+ been) |
| good ___ painting | at (fixed preposition) |
| ___ elephant (vowel sound) | an |
| If it ___ tomorrow | present simple (rains) |
Grammar gaps are not about meaning — even if several words make sense, only one is grammatically correct (tense/agreement/preposition). Decide the required form first, then look at options.
