Beyond the five-choice multiple-choice question and Quantitative Comparison, the GRE uses two answer formats that reward format-awareness as much as maths. Numeric Entry gives you no answer choices at all — you type the number into a box, or a numerator and denominator into a fraction box — so there is nothing to eliminate and no way to back-solve from options; your arithmetic must be exactly right. Multiple-Answer questions (officially "select one or more") can have any number of correct choices, from one to all of them, and you earn credit only if you mark every correct choice and no incorrect one — partial credit does not exist. How do you know a GRE question wants more than one answer?
The choices sit in square boxes and the instruction says "select one or more" or "indicate all". Ovals mean exactly one answer.
On a select-all question, is there partial credit?
