Multiplication Fluency (1x1 to 10x10)

Multiplication is repeated addition. Knowing your times tables up to 10x10 is essential for all higher maths.

Key facts to memorize:

  • Any number x 1 = itself (7x1=7)
  • Any number x 10 = add a 0 (6x10=60)
  • 9x rule: digits of product sum to 9 (9x3=27, 2+7=9)
  • 5x rule: ends in 0 or 5 (5x7=35)
