Rounding to Nearest 10, 100, 1000

Rounding rules:

  • Identify the place you are rounding to
  • Look at the digit one place to the right
  • If it is 0-4, round down (keep the digit, change rest to 0)
  • If it is 5-9, round up (increase the digit by 1, change rest to 0)
